Reaching one of the most unreached countries in the world for Christ through working in anti-trafficking ministry
Indonesia is a diverse country with 7,000 islands, hosts up to 786 different people groups and is a Muslim-majority population. Today there are an estimated 234 unreached people groups within the country. While Indonesia is a beautiful place and many come for tourism, the need is great to still share the gospel of Jesus.
The Vision Trip
We feel called to Indonesia to aid in fighting human trafficking there but we aren't sure what a sustainable anti-trafficking ministry will look like. That's why Alysa & Eric are embarking on a three month vision trip to learn about Indonesian & Bali culture and seek where the Lord is wanting them to serve.
Vision: We desire to function as a Kingdom driven base in Indonesia, with the desire of partnering with the local church and foreign workers, seeking to fight human trafficking and hosting international teams.
Dates: We are planning on doing a vision trip to Bali for three months in January 2021. After that we are planning on coming back to the United States and from there plan to move fall of 2021 or January 2022.
Alysa grew up in Colorado and went to the University of Colorado where she studied anthropology and studio arts. She has always had an adventurous and pioneering spirit and in 2013 after graduating from college the Lord led her to a trip called the World Race--an 11 month mission’s trip to 11 different countries. On this trip the Father started to reveal a desire to do ministry overseas.
Throughout the years since 2013, Alysa has worked in two different ministries, one called Beauty for Ashes where she helped train and equip women to share the Father’s heart of restoration, hope and healing with women through ministry and training. As well she has worked at a women’s safe home in Gainesville, Georgia through a ministry called Beautiful Feet. Here is where Alysa has gotten to help walk women through holistic healing and cultivating a home of safety for the women who decide to come to the house.
In her travels Alysa has fallen in love with the muslim world, the way that they are so hospitable and desire to share their lives is one of beauty for her. With that, she has especially a soft spot for the women and desires to create spaces for them to be able to be empowered, come to know the Father’s heart and ultimately know Jesus. Her vision for Indonesia is to see the lost, abused and broken, restored, healed and freed through cultivating community rooted in Jesus and the Father’s love towards them. Indonesia is just the beginning for her and is excited to see what all unfolds within the greater story that is being written!
Alysa is excited for you to partner with her in prayer and through financial giving. She believes that prayer is always the primary thing in whatever we do and where everything else flows through. As well, she doesn’t just believe that you are her partner but you become part of her trib, her family because without you and the family of Christ none of this would be possible. If you would like to follow along on her journey and support her here.
Eric was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. He first visited Indonesia in early 2017 when he participated on a year long mission trip going to 11 countries in 11 months called the World Race. Indonesia was the first country on this journey and the country really captured Eric's heart. He was in awe of the people, culture, and the whole new world that was Indonesia! As time went on, Eric realized how much that month in Indonesia changed my life. He felt the Lord time and time again placing the people on Indonesia's heart and knew he needed to go back to do ministry. Over the next three years after being introduced to Indonesia, Eric served and traveled to almost 40 other countries doing ministry.
In mid 2018 Eric discovered that there were a few others who had this same passion for Indonesia. Their talks and dreams quickly escalated toward working together to impact Indonesia. Now that the talks and dreams have settled for almost two years, they decided it was time to set this vision into action. Being in a foreign country long-term is never something he thought he would ever do, but now there seems to be nothing that can keep him from this invitation.
His vision for Indonesia is to see the lost, abused and broken, restored, healed and freed through cultivating community rooted in Jesus and the Father’s love towards them. Indonesia is just the beginning for him and is excited to see what all unfolds within the greater story that is being written!
Eric is excited for you to partner with him in prayer and through financial giving. He believes that prayer is always the primary thing in whatever we do and where everything else flows through. Also Eric is currently seeking donors for monthly long term support of $100 or another amount. Eric's goal is to build of team of ministry partner to come along side of him in this journey to support what God has called him to do and partner with him in ministering to the people of Indonesia.
