Outreach
Do you have a desire to connect with others in our community?
Outreach is a huge part of our ministry to bring women into the Magnolia Women's Center, assess needs and provide resources and tools for moving forward.
Regular Interactions Build Lasting Relationships
Each time we go out and encounter women in the community, we are building trust and fostering a relationship that we hope will lead them through our doors. However, this takes time. For most of these women, relationships have been transactional so there can often be skepticism toward us and our motives. Each time we interact with a woman, it is a seed planted that we pray will come to harvest.
Monthly Opportunities
Every month we offer two opportunities for volunteers to go on Outreach. Street Outreach happens once a month where we interact with neighbors and offer hygiene bags and information about the Women's Center.
Each month we also partner with Keep Knoxville Beautiful to clean up a section of Magnolia Avenue. We take groups out to pick up litter and interact with neighbors. Magnolia Avenue has no public trashcans in the area that we serve, so this is a great way to keep our community clean and safe.
