From the minute I heard Raising a Voice needed volunteers, my heart said yes. I now see that for years God had been preparing my heart for this work without me even knowing it! Not sure exactly what I would be doing, I showed up. I had no idea how these women would capture my heart. Over the last year and a half more and more women have been showing up for help.

 

As I spend time with them I see how much brokenness there is and how much I want to be a part of changing that. To show them God’s love, His light in the darkness and that there is hope. I was recently able to complete Certified Peer Recovery Specialist training, which will give me more tools and education to better serve Raising a Voice. I’m so thankful to be a part of what God is doing!
