2022 FELLOWS

ALYSSA NICHOLS

I am twenty-three years old, and I’m from Gallatin, TN. I recently graduated from UT with a bachelor’s in advertising and a minor in business administration in May of 2021. Throughout my time at UT, I was actively involved in the Baptist Collegiate Ministry and lived at the campus ministry’s house for two years. In addition, I also worked the past two years as an advertising intern at a nonprofit pregnancy resource center in Oak Ridge called Choices Resource Center.

I believe God has called me to be a counselor to work with victims of human trafficking to help them as well as share the Gospel with them. While I had my own plans for action steps toward this calling, all of them were disrupted this past year. Then, I heard about Raising a Voice, which is when I knew my original plans fell through because God wants to use this ministry to help mold me in this calling and to help others. Since then, God has continued to confirm my involvement here as the first step of obedience in the calling He’s given me to be a counselor in anti-trafficking ministry.
